Sign ups for Arctic Thunder half marathon now available

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Run with family and friends then sit back and watch the Elmendorf Air Show. Featured acts include the Blue Angels and Snowbirds.

Early registration for the Arctic Thunder half marathon is due by June 15. Early registration cost for the half marathon is $35, and 5k registration cost is $20.

Registration costs from June 15 to July 20 is $45 for the half marathon, and $25 for the 5k.

Race Day registration is only available to runners with a valid military ID and costs $50 for the half marathon and $30 for the 5k. Cash only.

Participants must come to bib pick up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 28 to 29 at the Muldoon Lowes parking lot to obtain a one day guest pass in order to access the installation. Race fees will not be refunded and base access will not be granted if participants do not pick up this pass.
