During an end of runway inspection the maintainers inspect the landing gear, hydraulic systems, weapons systems and all exterior panels and doors for leaks, loose or missing hardware or other damage that would be unsafe for flight. The UTAs are an opportunity for the pilots and maintainers assigned to the 477th FG to conduct Reserve flying operations.
