JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSN, Alaska- -- Terrorism remains a persistent threat to our nation, military, and communities. Regardless of age, background, or experience, everyone is a sensor and should remain vigilant by reporting suspicious activity. You have the power to assist law enforcement officials in disrupting potential terrorist planning and operations.
The Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Arctic Watch program is your avenue to submit non-emergency reports about suspicious people, items, or activity. In addition to standard walk-in and telephone reporting options, the JBER Antiterrorism (AT) Office has launched a new Quick Response (QR) option that can be scanned on your smart phone. A link launches a web-based reporting form where supporting photos can also be submitted. A QR reader APP may be required for Android-based devices.
Unlike with the traditional methods, the QR allows all pertinent agencies to simultaneously access submitted reports 24/7, which ensures the most timely and effective response possible. Users simply scan the QR image and follow the on-screen prompt. Look for the QR below on websites and flyers. Signs will also be strategically positioned around the installation.
To submit a Suspicious Activity Report, please scan this QR, visit the Base Defense Operations Center in Bldg. 8517 on JBER-E, or call 907-552-2212 / 907-784-6145.
