Arctic Warrior Chiefs’ Group Choice Award winner of the Month – June 2018 Published June 13, 2018 By JBER Public Affairs JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Name: A1C Kyle DiCarlo Unit: 673 CES Job Description: Execution Support Technician. Time in service: 23 Months Previous Assignments: Kunsan AB, ROK Accomplishments: A1C DiCarlo is responsible for multiple mission critical jobs across the installation. Firstly, he performed a topographic survey at Otter Lake. This data provided the Environmental flight with necessary information to address a failed dam, causing the lake to recede. The survey allowed engineers to design a “quick fix”, while preparing a long term construction project solution. Secondly, he is leading an energy conservation effort. In multiple facilities across the installation, the current lighting systems are inefficient, burdening the power grid and causing unnecessarily high energy costs. By inspecting and analyzing facilities across JBER, he is on the forefront of power conservation and efficient energy use. Lastly, A1C DiCarlo performed 3 separate soils analyses on material produced here on JBER. During each test, he educated multiple airmen from his work section, as well as 12 USAF Academy cadets on the testing process. The data produced from these tests proved that the material is fit for the 2018 season and future projects.
