JBER drinking water is safe
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- You may have seen or heard that local news stations are currently doing investigative journalism concerning contaminated drinking water in the State of Alaska.
The 673d Aerospace Medicine Squadron’s Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight has received multiple inquiries from individuals expressing concerns specifically about drinking water on JBER.
You should know that the drinking water on JBER has been cleared by local environmental health experts as safe and healthful. The Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight routinely conducts water quality tests for drinking water at JBER.
A summary of these tests and expert analysis may be found in the JBER Drinking Water Annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The most current CCR is publicly available to all consumers of JBER drinking water and can be downloaded at the below link:
