Colonel Philip D. Lancaster

Col. Philip D. Lancaster serves as the deputy commander, 11th Air Force, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He serves as chief advisor to the commander in executing the air component mission in Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam.

Lancaster was commissioned in 2000 as a distinguished graduate from the University of Minnesota-Duluth AFROTC. His operational assignments include duties as a flight commander, instructor pilot, flight examiner, director of operations, and commander. Lancaster has flown in operations JOINT GUARDIAN, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM. He completed staff assignments as a programmer and as the executive officer to the vice commander, both in Air Combat Command, and a joint assignment as a programmer in United States Northern Command. 

He is a command pilot with more than 1900 hours in the F-16 and F-22.
