Chief Master Sergeant Chief Master Sergeant Michael S. Macneil

Chief Master Sergeant Michael S. Macneil is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He serves as the personal advisor to the wing commander and vice wing commander on all matters affecting the enlisted force and their families. He provides oversight and recommendations regarding combat readiness, health, welfare, development, and quality of life for more than 2,200 assigned personnel responsible for achieving the combatant commander’s objectives through global reach, airborne command and control, and air dominance. The 3rd Wing employs the F-22 Raptor, C-17 Globemaster III, C-12 Huron and E-3 Sentry aircraft.
Chief Macneil is from Palm Desert, California and entered the Air Force in January 1999. His background includes various duties in the munitions career field, leadership positions at the squadron, group, and headquarters levels and three years as a First Sergeant. He has deployed to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Qatar in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, and ALLIES REFUGE.
