Lt. Gen. Robert D. Davis is the commander, Alaskan Command (ALCOM), Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Region (ANR),
and Eleventh Air Force, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. As the commander of ALCOM, a subordinate unified command of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), he is the supported commander for USNORTHCOM campaigning in the Alaskan Theater of Operations. His role is to deter aggression while being prepared to transition to homeland defense and defense support of civil authorities contingency operations. As the commander of ANR, Davis directs operations to conduct
aerospace control within its area of operations and contributes to NORAD's aerospace warning mission. Finally, Davis commands 11 AF, overseeing the required training and readiness to provide combat ready forces for the commander of Pacific Air Forces through five U.S. Air Force wings and two direct reporting units with installations located in Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. Davis earned his commission through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps from Texas A&M University in 1996. Following Undergraduate Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, he was assigned to the F-15C Eagle and later transitioned to the F-22A Raptor. He is a distinguished graduate of Undergraduate Pilot Training, F-15C initial training, and the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. The general is a command pilot with 2,800 hours, including 300 combat hours. Lt. Gen. Davis has commanded at the squadron, group and wing levels. Prior to his current position, Davis was the Director of Operations for USNORTHCOM, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.
