COVID-19 Updates and What the U.S. Government is doing about it.

- Further reduction of garrison and tenant services--we are working to find ways to provide virtual services as much as possible

CSM Barraza enlisted in the United States Army on 29 January 1986 in San Antonio, TX and completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advance Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia where he was awarded the MOS 92A, Automated Logistics Specialist. Upon graduation his initial assignment was 586th Maintenance Company 2nd COSCOM in Stuttgart Germany from 1986 to 1989

Since then his assignments and duty positions have taken him across the globe which included the Test and Experimentation Command (TEXCOM) Fort Ord California, Bravo Company, 193rd Support Battalion, Fort Clayton Panama, 699th Maintenance Company, 11th ADA, Fort Bliss, TX, A Company 299th Forward Support Battalion, 1st ID, Schweinfurt, Germany (Supply Service Activity NCOIC), A Company 4th Forward Support Battalion, 4th ID, Fort Hood, TX (Platoon Sergeant), 305th Quartermaster, 501st Area Support Group, Yongsan, Korea (Platoon Sergeant), HHC 1st COSCOM, Fort Bragg, NC (G3 OPS NCO), G FSC 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th ID, Fort Hood, TX (1SG), HHC 8th Theatre Sustainment Command, Fort Campbell, KY (BDE S3 SGM). His combat tours include OEF and OIF.

CSM Barraza has attended all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System; CSM Barraza is a graduate of class 58 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX, First Sergeant Course, Air Assault course and the Airborne course. He is also a member of the Distinguished Order of Saint Barbara. CSM Barraza holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (1 OLC); the Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC); the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC); the Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC); Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge.
