Chief Master Sergeant Lee P. Mills is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 673d Air Base Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska where he serves as the senior enlisted leader for the JBER Installation and 673d Air Base Wing and advises the Commander on all enlisted matters. He provides leadership and mentorship to the wing’s 4,900 joint service military and civilian personnel providing civil engineer, logistics, communications, contracting, medical services, personnel, security, housing/lodging and morale, welfare and recreation services to more than 34,000 active duty, reserve, National Guard, retirees, civilians and family members. The wing provides mission support to Alaskan Command, U.S. Army Alaska, enables two Air Force total force wings, an Army Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) and 55 mission partners operating on a 79,000 acre joint base.

Chief Mills entered the Air Force in January 1993. Following completion of basic training, he received technical training in Electronic Warfare Systems. His background includes various duties in A-10, B-52, E-3, U-2, C-17 and KC-135 maintenance, back shop maintenance and first sergeant duties performed at the squadron, group and Numbered Air Force level. He’s deployed in support of Operation DENY FLIGHT, DESERT FOX, and IRAQI FREEDOM. He is married and has 3 children.
