Stood up in 2010, the 673d Air Base Wing today comprises over 5,500 joint military and civilian personnel, supports and enables America’s Arctic Warriors and their families. In addition, the wing provides medical care to over 35,000 joint service members, dependents, Veterans Affairs patients, and retirees throughout Alaska. The 673d ABW maintains $15 billion in infrastructure encompassing 85,000 acres, ensuring Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson remains America’s premier strategic power projection platform.

The 673d Medical Group is composed of a combined DoD and VA workforce of more than 1,100 personnel in six squadrons who provide world class care to Alaska's past and present warriors and their families.
The 673 MDG delivers health care to twenty percent of the Anchorage population by providing over 221,000 outpatient visits, 3,300 surgeries, 444,000 prescriptions and 592,000 lab procedures annually and are truly dedicated to the motto "finding ways to safely say yes."
The 673d Mission Support Group (MSG) is composed of five squadrons: the 673d Contracting Squadron, the 673d Communications Squadron, the 673d Security Forces Squadron, the 673d Force Support Squadron, and the 773d Force Support Squadron, with a total work force of over 1,900 military, civilian and non-appropriated fund (NAF) personnel supporting the 673d Air Base Wing and more than 40 associate and tenant units assigned to Joint Base Elmendorf - Richardson.
The 673d Logistics Readiness Group is composed of two squadrons: the 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 773d Logistics Readiness Squadron, with a total workforce of over 575 personnel. The Logistics Readiness Group provides logistics and expeditionary combat support for the 673d Air Base Wing, 3d Wing, US Army Alaska, and a myriad of associate and tenant units assigned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The group is responsible for a vehicle fleet in excess of 1,700 vehicles worth $181M, deployment operations for over 15,000 tons of Air Force equipment, 1,100 pieces of Army rolling stock and 600 storage containers, supply operations for line items valued at over $742M, storage for distribution of 12.5M gallons of fuel, and traffic management support for the shipment of 53,000 tons of cargo and 10,000 household good shipments.
The 673d Civil Engineer Group (CEG) is a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary professional workforce composed of the 673d Civil Engineer Squadron and the 773d Civil Engineer Squadron. Over 900 military and civilian members maintain an $11.4B infrastructure and provide superb real property maintenance and construction, support utilities, fire and disaster protection, explosive ordnance disposal, housing services, planning, and environmental management for over 84,000 acres of property while supporting a total JBER population of 35,000, to include over 15,000 joint warriors.
The 673rd Civil Engineer Group is a participant in the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Task Force True North pilot program which seeks to bolster comprehensive Airmen Fitness in assigned Active Duty members and their dependents.
