ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska –
The opportunity is here again for the Elmendorf community to demonstrate their commitment to helping those in need.
The 2006 Combined Federal Campaign runs through Dec. 8. The thermometers posted at the base gates will serve as reminders of our dedication to the public as we achieve our 2006 CFC goal of $310,000.
The CFC is a government-sanctioned program through which federal employees can give to charitable organizations, thereby serving the needs of federal employees and improving quality of life for millions.
Elmendorf was recognized as the Alaska CFC's number one contributor in 2005. More than $303,000 were donated to world-wide and local non-profit organizations that fed the hungry, sheltered the exposed, comforted the dying, honored our military members and veterans, healed the ill, contributed to research and provided hope, comfort and support to others in need.
To contribute, contact your CFC point of contact. It's important to give, no matter the amount; every gift adds up and the more gifts throughout our area, the more lives touched.
For more information, contact Capt. Lynn O'Neil at 552-2795 or 1st Lt. Melissa Osti at 552-3697.
