Recent accomplishments
- A1C Hernandez works in the Information Systems Flight, where she provides computer support for 1.3K DoD and VA users. She reported to the systems flight as a Technical Training Graduate, completed her 5-level CDCs, and attained her Security+ certification in under 5 months; a feat that is typically spread out over an 11 month period. As a Medical Group Network Administrator, A1C Hernandez oversaw the asset management of 569 devices, and assisted in the Windows 10 upgrade, helping her flight meet the DoD/CIO’s mandate more than two weeks ahead of schedule. Furthermore, A1C Hernandez has been entrusted as a Government Purchase Cardholder where she assists in executing a $90K annual budget, while validating Information Technology requirements. Exemplifying the Whole Airman concept, she has contributed more than 16 hours to JBADD, saving a total of 37 service members’ lives and careers. She also serves as a Junior Achievement mentor, providing economics and free enterprise lessons to 25 elementary school students.
