CSM DENNIS C ZAVODSKY

CSM Zavodsky entered the Unites States Army on May 7th 1985 as an infantryman. After completion of airborne school CSM Zavodsky was assigned to the 2nd BN 504th PIR Fort Bragg NC. While in the "White Devils" CSM Zavodsky served as a rifleman, gunner, team leader, squad leader, and platoon sergeant. As a "White Devil" CSM Zavodsky participated in Operation Just Cause (Panama) and Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm (Iraq). Following his assignment at Fort Bragg CSM Zavodsky served at the Joint Readiness Training Center as a Platoon Senior Observer Controller. CSM Zavodsky was then assigned to 1-27 IN "Wolfhounds" Schofield Barracks HI where he served as the A CO, and HHC 1SG. Following his tour in Hawaii CSM Zavodsky attended the Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss TX, and was then subsequently assigned to the 1st BN-5th IN "Bobcats", FT Lewis WA where he served as the BN Operations SGM. CSM Zavodsky then moved to 4th BN-23rd IN "Tomahawks" Fort Richardson AK where he served as the CSM for 3 years including 16 months in OIF. Following the deployment to OIF, the BN was reflagged and moved to Fort Wainwright as the 3rd BN 21st IN "Gimlets". CSM Zavodsky was then brought back to Fort Richardson to serve as the 4th BCT (ABN) 25th ID CSM "Spartan BDE" .

CSM Zavodsky's awards and decorations include the BSM, Purple Heart, MSM, Combat Infantryman's badge (2nd award), the EIB, the master Parachutist badge with combat jump star, and the pathfinder badge. CSM Zavodsky's schools include Ranger, Airborne, Jumpmaster, Pathfinder, and all levels of NCOES. CSM Zavodsky holds a Bachelors Degree in management.

CSM Zavodsky is married  and has two sons.
