Chief Master Sergeant Rebecca P. Bateman is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. She serves as the personal advisor to the wing commander and vice wing commander on all matters affecting the enlisted force and their families. She provides oversight and recommendations regarding the combat readiness, health, welfare, development and quality of life for more than 2,000 assigned personnel responsible for achieving the Combatant Commander’s objectives through Global Reach, Airborne Command and Control and Air Dominance. The 3rd Wing employs the F-22, C-17, C-12 and E-3 aircraft.Chief Bateman enlisted in the Air Force in November 1999 and her background includes various duties in the Security Forces career field to include nuclear and conventional assignments. She served as a Professional Military Education instructor and has held positions in squadrons and Headquarters Air Force. She has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and completed overseas tours in the Republic of Korea, Guam, and Italy.
Prior to assuming her current position, she served as the Superintendent, 21st Mission Support Group, 21st Space Wing, Peterson Air Force Base and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colorado.
