Arctic Warrior of the Week 10 Feb. 2021

Congratulations to Specialist Derian Callwood with the Military Police Detachment assigned with the 673 Security Forces Squadron for being recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week! Upon arrival to JBER from Fort Riley, he stepped up becoming Team Leader of the Military Police Detachment. He has made significant contributions to the Flight Training program; teaching 4 hours of Air Base defense and deployment operations to 38 members to execute during upcoming AEF deployments. He provided crucial mentorship to Airmen and Soldiers which led to two critical certifications. Furthermore, he showcased his ability to lead when he volunteered to backfill a vital position during a Wing Level exercise for the 673 ABW command team in which he flawlessly executed Standard Field Sobriety Tests during a DUI traffic stop. The Arctic Warrior of the week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
