Encouraging resiliency through recreation

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Rob Marshall interacts with with Outdoor Adventure Program staff members at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 20, 2019, prior to heading out for a stand-up paddleboard trip. Marshall, as the deputy chief of the Research and Scholarship Division at the Center for Character and Leadership Development at the U.S. Air Force Academy, visited JBER to advocate for the use of adventure- and experiental-based learning in resiliency efforts.
