Soldiers assigned to the 109th Transportation Company, 17th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, U.S. Army Alaska, ground guide a M915A5 tractor with an M872 trailer to a staging area for loading U.S. Marine Corps bulk fuel supplies and equipment from the U.S.S. Comstock (LSD-45), a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship, at the port of Seward, Alaska, Sept. 19, 2019, for transport to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The U.S. Navy is conducting an Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise to test its logistical effectiveness and joint-service interoperability while responding to conflict or disaster in an austere environment with no organic assets.
