Fisher House opens second home away from home

Jenny Hall, Fisher House manager, receives the key for Fisher House II during the opening ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sep. 10, 2018. The Fisher House program is a network of comfort homes where families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. The need for another house was so great in Alaska, the foundation funded the building of the second Fisher House. Fisher House II features a two-story building with more than 14,000 square feet – 16 suites which include a private bedroom and bath, a shared family room, living room, and common kitchen, and laundry facilities for families.
